SPRING CREEK, Nev. (AP) — Students at an elementary school in Elko County get another day off after a propane gas leak forced the school's closure on Monday.

The Elko Daily Free Press reports that Spring Creek Elementary School will reopen on Wednesday at the usual time.

Rita Frieze, manager of the propane supplier AmeriGas, says the problem was caused by one part that led another part to fail.

Frieze says there is no immediate danger but they wanted to shut down the system as a precaution.

She says a new part has been ordered for the gas tank, but a serviceman from California cannot install it until Tuesday.
