RENO, Nev. (AP) — The Nevada Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of a single-vehicle crash that killed a Reno woman last week on U.S. Highway 395-Alternate in Pleasant Valley just south of town.
The patrol identified the victim on Monday as 41-year-old Allison Maupin.
Investigators say she was near Pagni Lane about 2:10 p.m. on Friday when she allowed her red 2000 Mazda pickup to leave the highway and run into the side of the Pleasant Valley fire station.
Trooper Chuck Allen says Maupin was not wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Allen says no other vehicles were involved and alcohol does not appear to have been a factor.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Trooper Kris Satterwhite at 775-689-4682. The case No. is NHP-131100059.
