SAN DIEGO (AP) — Visitors browsing the booths at this week's AARP convention on aging in San Diego won't find one featuring Final Exit Network.
U-T San Diego reports the national right-to-die group's application for a booth was denied for the expo starting Thursday at the convention center.
The group will still have a presence. Final Exit Network representatives will be outside the convention, providing attendees with information on assisted suicide.
Efforts by the newspaper to get a comment from AARP officials were unsuccessful.
The AARP expo will feature stars like Kevin Spacey and Julia Louis-Dreyfus and offer events covering topics like health, technology, travel and finance.
