SAN DIEGO (AP) — The newest panda at the San Diego Zoo is ready to meet his fans.

City News Service says the five-month-old cub will be placed on public display Thursday morning for two hours. His face time will be limited while he gets used to an audience.

Xiao Liwu (Show Lee-Woo), whose Chinese name means "Little Gift," spent his early months confined to a den with his mother, although fans could watch him on a webcam.

However, the zoo says in recent weeks he's come out to explore and play in the exhibit.
