FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — A school bus and a big rig have crashed in Central California, resulting in minor injuries.

The California Highway Patrol says the collision occurred Monday afternoon at South Elm and East Central Avenues in Fresno County.

The CHP says the big rig was overturned in the crash, and that the intersection was blocked.

Several students were on the bus at the time, but it was not immediately known how many were injured.

Linda Dominguez, a business manager at Orange Center Elementary School District, tells the Fresno Bee that the bus was bringing the students home.

She says it is one of two buses used by the district and that it's the only one with seatbelts.
