LA QUINTA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a man was found passed out on the front lawn of a home next to a golf cart that had crashed into a tree at an upscale golf course in the Southern California desert.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department said in a statement that a woman reported she'd passed out Monday on a golf course at PGA West in La Quinta and woke with dried blood on her face.
She said she'd been with 73-year-old Gary Osborn, who security later found passed out near the crashed golf cart.
Neither person was injured. Osborn was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and jailed. Deputies did not know if he'd hired an attorney.
The PGA West Country Club is home to several championship golf courses and a PGA Tour event.
