SEAL BEACH, Calif. (AP) — The owner of an Orange County sports camp for kids has been arrested following allegations that he committed lewd acts on a juvenile eight years ago.

The Orange County Register reports 49-year-old Scott Durzo was taken into custody Wednesday in Seal Beach on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14.

He runs Scott Durzo's Total Sport Camp, which offers year-round sports programs for children in several communities. Previously he was a coach at Los Alamitos High School.

Investigators believe that Durzo met the alleged victim during a camp session.

Seal Beach police Sgt. Phil Gonshak declined to specify the gender of the person who came forward or to comment on where the acts are said to have taken place.

It wasn't immediately known if Durzo had an attorney.
