LAS VEGAS (AP) — A key intersection at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip remains closed more than 12 hours after a pre-dawn shooting and flaming multi-vehicle crash left three people dead and at least six others injured.

Las Vegas police Sgt. John Sheahan said Thursday that the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road is expected to remain closed until after dark.

Investigators are still removing the bodies of a taxi driver and passenger who died when their vehicle was hit and exploded into flames.

The driver of a Maserati sports car was killed by gunfire and his passenger was among those injured.

Police are looking for a black Range Rover Sport with blackout windows and distinctive black custom rims that fled the scene of the 4:20 a.m. shooting.
