LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say a shooter opened fire at a North Las Vegas apartment complex, killing one person and wounding another before fleeing.
Metropolitan Police said they believed the assailant was hiding in a nearby apartment complex after the shooting Tuesday. He remained at large early Wednesday.
A police statement said investigators determined the suspect fired on the victims as they were getting out of their vehicle. Police say the shooting may have been gang motivated.
Police have not released the names or ages of the male and female who were shot. Police say the female, who was injured in the attack, was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The male died at the scene.
