Have you tried living off teachers' wages without an increase in pay for the last four years while gas and groceries skyrocket? It's not the teachers getting the increases, maybe you should check out the administrators pay. Teachers are the first to get cut. Teachers are spending days out of the classrooms getting trained for another new concept for education. I wouldn't recommend anyone today going into education. You really aren't appreciated! Get an education where you can make more money and get more respect!!!

Amazing. I am a product of the American education system of the 1960s and 70s and I can spell and write in complete sentences. That is because teachers of my generation spent their time in the classrooms, more concerned about the students, and no time in the union halls, conspiring how to bleed every tax dollar they could out of the already battered taxpayer. It's endemic to this ME ME ME generation. Take care of ME first. I can appreciate the natural instinct for self preservation, but the union power has been out of control for decades. I know some very good teachers, past and present, and also some that never should have entered a classroom. Presently, we cannot get rid of the bads ones because of all the union driven protections. What can we do to break this union chokehold and overhaul our education system? What will it take?

NO NEVADANS DO NOT FAVOR THIS TAX HIKE!!! This is another attempt by the teacher's unions (the most corrupt unions in the country) to better their pay without having it connected to production. We need a serious overhaul of the education system. It is not helping to keep throwing money at a broken system. Every other job in this land has pay for production, why can't the teachers? Because they are only worried about protecting their own butts/jobs! Everyone has to stand up and say NO MORE TAXES!! We have become one of the most heavily taxed countries on the planet. STOP STOP STOP the big government. Actually, I fear it will stop itself by totally imploding with catastophic economic failure. Coming soon if we don't change our ways.

Of course Sandoval wants to veto this bill. We all know how little Republicans value education in this state. They value their money more than our children's futures.
