LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities in North Las Vegas say a 17-year-old girl is dead and her grandparents and son are injured after a crash on their way home from a Halloween party.
Police say the accident happened a little before 10 p.m. Thursday on Ann Road and Coleman Street.
Officials say it appears the 74-year-old grandpa was driving his Chrysler south on Coleman Street when he entered the path of a Dodge pickup truck.
The truck hit the driver's side of the Chrysler, killing the young mother and critically injuring the grandparents. Police say the 2-year-old boy has injuries that don't appear to be life-threatening.
The 21-year-old truck driver wasn't injured in the crash.
Police say they're investigating who had the right-of-way at the time, and whether speed or alcohol were involved.
