LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say a 16-year-old driver is dead and another teen was hospitalized with serious injuries after the car they were in crashed into a concrete wall off a busy thoroughfare west of downtown Las Vegas.
Las Vegas police say the teens were in a two-door Honda Civic that collided with a vehicle it was passing about 10:45 p.m. Saturday on Jones Boulevard north of the U.S. 95 freeway.
Both teens were taken to University Medical Center, where police say the driver was pronounced dead.
Their names weren't immediately made public.
Police say the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash left the scene and is sought for questioning.
