CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — The third medallion commemorating Nevada's 150th birthday will feature three iconic Nevada landmarks.

The design featuring the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign, the Reno Arch and Wendover Will, a 63-foot-tall cowboy found in the town on the Utah line, was picked by school children and announced Wednesday by the Nevada Sesquicentennial Commission.

It's the third in a series of four medallions being minted as part of Nevada's 150th birthday celebration.

Sales will begin May 27.

Each 1-ounce silver medallion is made from silver from the Coeur Rochester Mine near Lovelock and stamped on the historic Coin Press No. 1 at the Nevada State Museum. They are available for $100.50 each.

Copper medallions are $15.

The first medallion depicted the Nevada state seal; the second had a miner.
