TONOPAH, Nev. (AP) — The Nevada Highway Patrol has released the name of a Tonopah woman killed in a fatal crash over the weekend on U.S. Highway 6 in Esmeralda County.
The patrol says 50-year-old Sandra Del Pilar Jensen was a passenger who was ejected from a 2000 Mercury Mystique during a single-vehicle rollover about 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
Trooper Barb Stapleton says Jensen and the driver — who has not been identified — were headed west on U.S. 6 about 3 miles north of Tonopah when the vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason.
Stapleton says it's not yet known whether alcohol played a factor in the wreck.
The accident remains under investigation.
