UPDATE: The Truckee River in Truckee is rising slower than expected. It is not projected to reach flood stage at about 10am.
TRUCKEE, Cal. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - The Truckee River near Truckee is expected to hit flood stage at about 5am Sunday morning according to the National Weather Service. At about 9am the river will cross into “major” flood stage. The river is expected to stay above flood stage until about 8pm.
The Truckee River at Tahoe City is not expected to get close to flood level.
The Truckee River at Farad is expected to hit its highest level at about 1pm, just below flood stage.
The Truckee River near Mogul is not expected to get close to flood stage, its highest level will be more than 4-feet below minor flood stage.
The Truckee River in Reno is expected to be at minor flood stage between 2pm and 4pm. The river is expected to be near flood stage in Reno between 11am and 9pm.
The Truckee River near Vista in Sparks is expected to hit minor flood stage at about 1:30pm and crest at 10:00pm at moderate flood stage. The river is expected to drop below flood stage at about 12:30 Monday morning but remain close to flood stage until about 4am Monday morning.
The Truckee River is expected to stay below flood stage near Tracy.
The Truckee River below Derby Dam near Wadsworth is expect to get near flood stage at 4pm, by 10pm Sunday the river is expected to be at moderate flood stage. The river is expected to drop below flood stage at about 5am Monday.
The Truckee River at Wadsworth is expected to hit flood stage at about 6pm. The river is expected to crest at about 4am Monday morning at moderate flood stage, about nine inches below major flood stage. The river is not projected to drop below flood stage until about 7am Monday morning.
The Truckee River near Nixon is expected to hit flood stage at about 1am Monday morning and crest around 10am Monday morning at moderate flood stage. The river is not expected to drop below flood stage until shortly after noon on Monday.
SUSANVILLE, Cal. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - The Susan River near Susanville is expected to hit flood level shortly after 8am Sunday morning, cresting at 10am, and dropping below flood stage by noon. The river is expected to have significantly higher levels than normal starting at 6am and lasting until 4pm.
STEAMBOAT, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - Steamboat Creek at Steamboat is expected to reach flood stage at about 7am, cresting at moderate flood stage at about 4pm. The creek is expected to drop below flood stage at about 11pm.
CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - The Carson River near Carson City, West Fork Carson River at Woodfords, East Fork Carson River near Markleeville are all expected to have significantly higher levels than normal, but are not projected to hit flood stage.
