LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say they tied a second victim to a man accused of impersonating a police officer and sexually assaulting an escort service employee at a Las Vegas Strip resort.
The Las Vegas Metro Police Department says in a statement that Mark Picozzi, 48, of Las Vegas, was rebooked Monday into Clark County jail on suspicion of sexual assault, robbery, kidnapping and impersonating a public officer.
He was first arrested last Thursday. Police say the escort employee told investigators she was called to meet a male client in a room at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and forced to have sex.
The woman said her attacker identified himself as a Las Vegas Metro vice officer.
Police say the suspect has no known law enforcement affiliation and has been convicted of robbery, kidnapping and impersonating an officer in New Jersey.
