RENO, Nev. (AP) — A veteran of Nevada's higher education system has been named interim vice president of academic affairs at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno.
Jane A. Nichols will be responsible for the overall design, supervision, evaluation and fiscal management of the school's academic programs.
Nichols most recently served as vice chancellor of academic and student affairs at the Nevada System of Higher Education.
She was also an associate dean for the College of Education at the University of Nevada, Reno and associate professor in the department of social work.
Nichols holds a doctorate in higher education from the University of Tennessee. She also has a master's in social work and a bachelor's in psychology.
