LOS ANGELES (AP) — Court documents are revealing new details in the rampage of a former Los Angeles police officer turned-fugitive before he died during a mountain cabin shootout.
One arrest warrant obtained by The Associated Press Tuesday says that guns and ammunition found Feb. 4 in a trash bin in suburban San Diego matched the bullet casings found at the scene of what are believed to be Christopher Dorner's first two killings, a basketball coach and her fiancé found shot to death in an Irvine parking garage a day earlier.
Another warrant obtained by the Riverside Press-Enterprise says that on Feb. 7, two Riverside police officers received a bulletin warning that Dorner had wounded an officer in nearby Corona just moments before they were ambushed themselves. One officer was killed, the other wounded.
