WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (AP) — A fire at a West Hollywood apartment building has burned one unit and injured three people.

Los Angeles County fire Inspector Quvondo Johnson says the flames erupted around 9:50 a.m. Friday at the multi-story building on Crescent Heights Boulevard.

Firefighters arrived to find flames and smoke coming from the third floor. It took 55 firefighters about 15 minutes to douse them.

Johnson says three people were reported to have injuries but they didn't go to the hospital.

The damage appeared confined mainly to the apartment. Johnson says it's unclear whether anyone was home at the time.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
