LEMON GROVE, Calif. (AP) — San Diego County authorities are seeking the identity of a woman who died after being found lying alongside a road in Lemon Grove.
A Sheriff's Department statement says the woman was spotted at about 2 a.m. Thursday by two deputies on patrol on Pacific Avenue.
The woman had head trauma and paramedics took her to Scripps Mercy Hospital, where she was soon pronounced dead.
A shell casing was found at the scene, but authorities don't know if it is related to the incident.
