iPhone app leads Reno police to armed robber

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno police used a cellphone application called "Find My iPhone" to track down not only a stolen cellphone but also the armed robber accused of stealing it.

Police say 27-year-old Anthony Jacinto has been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery after he allegedly held up a 22-year-old man at gunpoint while walking home near the Peppermill Hotel-Casino about 4 a.m. Thursday.

The victim saw the suspect get into a car driven by an accomplice and gave a description to police

Officers used the phone app to track the suspects to an area near the Horseshoe Motel in downtown Reno, where they found the vehicle and eventually located the suspects in a motel room.

Police say the recovered a firearm and several items belonging to the victim.
