MINDEN, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say one person was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash involving a cattle truck in Douglas County.

The accident happened Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of State Route 88 and Waterloo Lane.

One power pole was sheared off at the base, knocking out power to about 2,000 NV Energy electricity customers.

Authorities say the highway in that area is closed and it's not known when it will reopen.

Douglas County sheriff's Sgt. Pat Brooks says one person was flown to Reno hospital but their condition was not immediately known.
