POMONA, Calif. (AP) — A pair of shootings hours apart have killed two men and critically injured a third in Pomona — the latest violence in a Los Angeles suburb that has seen two dozen homicides this year.
Police say one man was killed and a second critically injured just before midnight Wednesday.
Two hours after that attack, a man was found shot on a street. He was hospitalized in extremely critical condition and later died.
The names of the victims haven't been released.
Details of the shootings remain sketchy and police say it's unclear whether the attacks are related. No arrests have been made.
There's no word on the motives for the attacks but authorities have said they believe many of this year's killings are gang- and drug-related.
