RENO, Nev. (AP) — Authorities are offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect or suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a Reno teenager over the weekend.

Reno police say they responded to a report of shots fired just after 6 p.m. Sunday at Miguel Ribera Park near an apartment complex on the city's southeast side along Neil Road.

They found a 16-year-old boy lying in the street with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

Police initially said they suspected the shooting was gang related, but they said in a statement announcing the Secret Witness reward on Tuesday they don't know if any gangs were involved.

The victim's name has not been released.
