LAS VEGAS (AP) — Two people are dead after police say a vehicle that ran a stop sign broadsided their car at a northwest Las Vegas intersection.
Police say the 67-year-old male driver and 57-year-old female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene after flames were extinguished following the 12:30 a.m. Sunday crash at Flamingo Road and Town Center Drive in Summerlin.
Their names weren't immediately made public.
They were in a Hyundai Sonata that was struck in the side by a Subaru Impreza that police say ran a stop sign.
The Subaru driver, 23-year-old Matthew Dalrymple of Las Vegas, was hospitalized with injuries that were described as minor.
He wasn't immediately charged, but police say the crash remains under investigation.
