NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — Five top managers have been laid off as part of a reorganization at North Las Vegas City Hall.
City officials confirmed the managers were given pink slips Thursday morning. They include Community Services Director Frank Fiori, Parks and Recreation Director Mike Henley, Utilities Director Reed Scheppmann, Administrative Services Director Al Noyola and Assistant Administrative Services Director Skip Grey.
The cuts were part of a restructuring effort announced last month by Mayor John Lee, who took office last year.
City spokeswoman Chrissie Coon says the reorganization was a long overdue measure to help the city run more efficiently.
She didn't say how much the city might save through the layoffs.
