DAYTON, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Lyon County Sheriff's Office is saying that alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash on Highway 50 Monday night.

According to Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect, Leroy Butler, was apprehended by Nevada Highway Patrol and transported to the hospital where he was tested for alcohol in his system. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.

The vehicle he was driving is believed to be stolen, and Reno Police are investigating.

Butler has still not been charged or arrested.

NHP says Butler was traveling westbound before crossing over into the eastbound lane and sideswiping a 2003 Silver Dodge van traveling eastbound Monday. Butler fled the scene, but was caught by NHP officers.
