Debby Harmon wrote in saying she saw the story about the pit bulls who attacked the man in the Stead area and she wants to know if police have found the owner of those dogs ?

Washoe County Animal Control with the help of Reno Police is investigating this case.
It happened Sunday morning when a jogger shot two loose pit bulls which he claimed were attacking him near Moondust Court not far from Stead Elementary School.
One of the dogs died at the scene and the other was later put down.
Barry Brode with animal control says they have contacted the owner of the dogs.
There is a law against letting an animal roam free in a congested area, or within city limits.  But he says in this case since both dogs died they do not  plan on pursuing any charges.Brode says that would only serve to add fuel to the fire.
But he says they are continuing to look into the facts of the case so at this point it is still under investigation.

Add fuel to the fire? What fire? The owner of those land-sharks should be cited and fined. What if those monsters had attacked a child or elderly person? Why is the owner getting a "pass"? If a drunk driver is injured in an auto accident he causes, he's still prosecuted for drunk driving! Whoever made the decision not to cite this owner needs to rethink his/her decision.
