Vickie Hundert wrote in to ask what they're building next to the new Walmart in Lemmon Valley. She says construction has started but there are no signs as to what its going to be.
That's actually city property up there in that part of Lemmon Valley.
According to Reno's Community Development Department there is an approved building permit for a multi-tenant building within the same complex as the Walmart on Vista Knoll. Basically that means more retail spaces when the construction is finished.
The Walmart store itself is relatively new. It opened up in March of last year, creating nearly 300 new jobs when it opened.
There is also some development nearby on Sky Vista where a new burger restaurant will be going on soon.
So a lot of activity happening up in Lemmon Valley !
