Ralph Woolbright in Reno wrote asking why, after only being open for a couple of months the traffic lane lines on Moana are very hard to see in the daylight ?
Ralph we went out and took a look and you're right, those lane lines are a little tough to see.
Scott Magruder at the Department of Transportation says they have received a few calls about this, not only on Moana but also over at the new Meadowood Interchange. Magruder says the roads do need to be re-striped, but he says they have to wait until the weather improves to give them a chance to clear all of that sand that trucks have laid down to make our icy roads a little less slick.
Magruder told me this afternoon he will ask his chief engineer to look at getting those roads re-striped as soon as possible.
