Body found in car engulfed by flames

UPDATE - 10:35 -- According acting Lt. Johnny Smith of Lyon County Sheriff's Office, they do not suspect foul play, but are looking into it as suspicious. Nevada State Fire Marshall on scene now with Lyon County Sheriff's Office Detectives investigating. There is a chance the driver of the vehicle was staying at the Comfort Suites.

The body has not been identified and no age or gender has been determined. The next of kin has not been notified.

FERNLEY, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) – A body was discovered October 1 after deputies from the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, along with fire personnel, responded to the Comfort Suits in Fernley for a vehicle fire in the hotel parking area.

Responding units arriving on scene discovered a car and a truck both fully engulfed. The body was discovered once the fire was completely put out.

Lyon County deputies, detectives and the state fire marshall are investigating.
