CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Dennis Hof, the owner of the Bunny Ranch brothel in Carson City, has put up the $125,000 bail for Scott Thorson, the ex-lover of Liberace.
Hof says he made the decision after watching the HBO original film Behind the Candleabra, which stars Michael Douglas and Matt Damon details the life of Liberace and his affair with Thorson.
Thorson was booked on four counts of first degree burglary, four counts of using a credit/debit/ID card without consent, three counts of obtaining or possessing a credit/debit card without cardholder's consent, one count of obtaining or using other person's ID for harmful/unlawful purpose, two counts of obtaining money/property/labor under false pretenses for $650 and one count of obtaining money/property/labor under false pretenses for over $650.
Hof also said he arranged for top defense attorney David Houston to represent Thorson, and is housing Thorson at his private residence, adjacent to The Bunny Ranch. While residing there, Thorson will be working as Hof's personal assistant while getting treatment for colon cancer and undergoing rehabilitation for drug addiction.
Thorson's romantic relationship with Liberace from the mid 70s to the mid 80s. He stayed in contact with Liberace until his death from AIDS in 1987.
