LAS VEGAS (AP) — Casino giant Caesars Entertainment Corp. says the renovated 7,000-seat theater at which Britney Spears will perform will open with a new name and a new partner to run it.

Caesars President and CEO Gary Loveman said Thursday that teaming with Live Nation Entertainment should ensure top resident headliners and tour bookings at The AXIS at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

The theater opened in July 1976 as the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts.

The redesign features a remade dance floor, a 100,000-watt sound system, big video and projection installations, VIP table seating and nightclub beverage service headed by Drai's Management Group.

Drai's chief Victor Drai says he looks forward to working with Live Nation and Britney Spears.

Spears launches her show "Britney: Piece of Me" on Dec. 27.
