Calgary acquires McGrattan from Nashville

Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - The Calgary Flames have traded defenseman Joe Piskula to the Nashville Predators for forward Brian McGrattan.

McGrattan played two games for Nashville and six games with Milwaukee of the American Hockey League this season.

The 31-year-old veteran played for Calgary in 2009-10, recording one goal and three assists in 34 games.

In 214 career games with Ottawa, Phoenix, Calgary and Nashville, McGrattan has three goals and 13 assists along with 456 penalty minutes.

Piskula has not played in the NHL this season. He has played in 10 career NHL games with Los Angeles (2006-07) and Calgary (2011-12), going scoreless and recording eight penalty minutes. In 370 career AHL games, he has eight goals and 62 assists.
