San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Cornerback Brandon Flowers, cut loose by Kansas City almost two weeks ago, has found a home with an AFC West rival.

No terms of the deal were disclosed by the Chargers, but the Union-Tribune reported it is a one-year contract.

Flowers posted 68 tackles, one sack and one interception over 13 games for the Chiefs in 2013, his sixth with the franchise. That effort resulted in his first Pro Bowl selection.

That wasn't good enough to earn the trust of the club which took him with a second-round pick out of Virginia Tech in 2008. KC released him on June 13 in order to save approximately $7.5 million in cap space.

Flowers arrives in San Diego having compiled 374 tackles, 17 interceptions (three for TDs) and two sacks over 88 contests.
