RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- It looks like there's deal in the works to settle a $330,000 lawsuit filed by Reno Deputy Police Chief Dave Evans against the City.
Evans was placed on paid administrative leave more than a year ago after he was recorded by another officer allegedly advising that officer on how to shift the blame during an internal affairs investigation.
Evans was placed on leave Aug. 10, 2012 and has been collecting his six figure salary every since.
News 4 is told tonight the Reno City Council will decide next Wednesday whether to approve a settlement with Evans. There is no word on the dollar amount involved.
