The City is in the process of establishing a total of 11 sandbag stations in preparations for this weekend's flood advisory. Three of those stations will be open by 6:00 p.m. this evening. Those locations are:
Gateway Park (South of the intersection of 21st Street and Greg Street), Cottonwood Park (Spice Island Drive and Truckee River) and the southeast corner of Deming Way and Kleppe Lane
The City of Sparks encourages all businesses to take steps to prevent possible flooding to their properties. A map of all 11 sandbag locations will be posted on the City’s website as soon as possible at www.cityofsparks.us or call 775.353.5555.
