LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have identified a 48-year-old man who died after being struck by a car in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Clark County coroner's officials say Brian Edward Vangorder died after being hit by a Toyota FJ Cruiser about 6:15 p.m. Saturday.

Police say Vangorder was outside a crosswalk on Warm Springs Road east of South Hinson Street when he was struck.

Emergency responders pronounced him dead on the scene.

Police say the 24-year-old Las Vegas man driving the Toyota remained on the scene.

The crash marked the second fatal traffic accident this year in Las Vegas police jurisdiction.
