RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - It was an extravagant proposal in The Biggest Little City. For some, the day you are proposed to might be the most memorable, but for the person proposing, it may be the most nerve racking, as it was for Chris Hoagland.

“This is the first time I’ve proposed to anyone an I’m thirty-eight years old and I never thought that I’d be going about it this way,” says Hoagland.

After a year of dating, Hoagland knew it was time to propose to his girlfriend, Holly Richards, and a flash mob was just the way to do it.

“As soon as this all came together, he had the date and he started making calls,” said his sister, Lisa Lambert.

It took four months of planning and Chris’s big day had finally came Friday, June 20th.

As Richards arrived at the Silver Legacy her favorite song began to play, 500 miles.
Her father embraced her and the flash mob began dancing around them. Dozens of people cheered and danced until the song stopped and Hoagland made his entrance.

After months of planning and waiting he had his answer.

“I don't know why he's nervous because I would have hoped he knew I was going to say yes,” said Richards.

But maybe Hoagland was nervous because he is Seattle Seahawks fan.

“We met at a Seahawks game,” says Hoagland. “I was rooting for the Seahawks She was rooting for the Packers and I had to get through her mom and dad before I got to her,” says Hoagland.

It’s safe to say Hoagland made a touchdown and both families are happy.

“Holly is a great lady,” says Jim Hoagland, Chris’s father. “She deserves whatever comes to her and Chris is a great man.))

“I’ve never seen anybody go to the extremes that he's gone to, to make this happen,” says Martin Richards, Holly’s father. “I’m just so happy and proud.”
The two families traveled from all over the country to make this proposal everything Chris wanted it to be for Holly.
