KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) — One of the main routes between northwestern Arizona and the Nevada border is closed due to car accident.
Arizona Department of Transportation officials say Wednesday's crash has closed the northbound lanes of U.S. 93 between Kingman and the Hoover Dam, affecting travelers headed to Las Vegas.
They say travelers should expect to use a detour that will reroute them through Bullhead City.
There were no immediate details the crash, but ADOT officials say U.S. 93 northbound will be closed northwest of Kingman for an extended period Wednesday afternoon.
Drivers are being rerouted onto westbound State Route 68. Once drivers reach Bullhead City, they will continue west on Nevada State Route 163. That highway connects with U.S. 95, where drivers will head north to reach Las Vegas.
