RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Dairy Queen Restaurants throughout northern Nevada will be participating in Miracle Treat Day on Thursday. Throughout the day, $1 or more from every Blizzard treat sold at participating DQ stores will be donated to support northern Nevada’s Children's Miracle Network Hospital (CMNH), Renown Children’s Hospital.

Logan Mason, Nevada’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ Champion, will be making Blizzards at 11 a.m. at 1501 Prater Way. Joel Muller, vice president of Renown Health Foundation, will also be making Blizzards.

Nationally, Dairy Queen and CMNH have partnered together for 30 years raising money to help children across North America. In that time Dairy Queen has raised over $100 million in support of CMNH, according to a recent Renown press release. Since 1998, local DQ restaurants have raised $105,000 for Renown Children’s Hospital.

All money raised from Blizzard purchases August 14 will stay in the northern Nevada community to help fund state-of-the-art equipment and provide support for services and education programs at Renown Children's Hospital. Businesses interested in supporting Miracle Treat Day can pre-order Blizzards for employees by calling Kiemmy Boc at 775-982-4836.

Participating DQ restaurants in the region:

- 1501 Prater Way, Sparks
- 10390 North McCarran Blvd., Reno
- 3198 US Hwy 50 E, Carson City
