RENO, Nev. (KRNV & -- The Reno Rodeo Foundation's annual Denim Drive is underway running through December 19th.
The Denim Drive is in its sixth year.
It provides foster youth in 13 Nevada counties with new clothes 365 days a year.
Many foster children are taken from their homes without their personal belongings, including clothing. The Denim Drive helps foster youth develop a sense of ownership by providing tangible items they can claim and hold onto.
18-year-old Jillisa Pritchard is a senior at Wooster High School. A foster child since the age of three, she has been directly helped by the denim drive for a number of years.
Jillisa shares her story with News 4's Dina Kupfer.
