LOS ANGELES (AP) — Scientists say a distant galaxy has reclaimed its title as the oldest in the universe.
Using the Hubble Space Telescope, an international team last year claimed the discovery of a galaxy that dated to 13.2 billion years ago.
Now a different group of scientists is reporting that the galaxy is even older at 13.3 billion years. They used the same telescope but a different technique to come up with the older age.
The group also announced Wednesday the discovery of six more early galaxies.
