RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Dolan Automotive Group is pleased to announce the return of its $30,000 School Upgrade Project.

From Feb. 1 – 22, principals of all public K – 12 schools in Carson, Churchill, Douglas, Humboldt, Lyon, Mineral, Pershing, Storey and Washoe Counties are invited to participate in the contest that awards three schools with $10,000 each to fund projects that benefit the school as a whole.

Beginning Friday, Feb. 1, northern Nevada principals can submit a proposal explaining how the school would benefit from winning the “School Upgrade” contest. Contestants input entries on the “School Upgrade” tab on Dolan Auto Group’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/DolanAutomotiveGroup through Friday Feb. 22.

Project proposals are then voted on by fans of the Facebook page until March 17. The three schools that earn the most votes—one elementary, one middle and one high school— are announced March 20 and receive $10,000 each to fund the proposed project.

All School Upgrade submissions must be entered by 11:59 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22. Voting begins Monday, Feb. 25 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, March 17. One vote per person per day is allowed and it is recommended that entrants encourage students, parents and faculty to support the school by voting regularly. Winners are announced Wednesday, March 20 and checks awarded the following week. Project proposals are at the discretion of the principal and only one proposal per school is accepted. Principals must be K-12 public school employees in Carson, Churchill, Douglas, Humboldt, Lyon, Mineral, Pershing, Storey or Washoe County to enter.
