LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say a driver is dead after running a red light at a Las Vegas intersection.
Las Vegas police say a driver was traveling north on Arville Street in a 1997 Buick Park Avenue when he ran a red light a little after 9 p.m. Thursday.
He was struck by a 2002 Dodge Dakota that was heading east on Oakey Boulevard and both cars spun.
Police say the Buick driver was pronounced dead on the scene, while the 42-year-old man driving the Dodge was taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries.
The incident marks the 63rd traffic-related death this year in Las Vegas police jurisdiction.
