After numerous complaints from viewers, News 4 went undercover in May of this year to find out if Sandra Bledsoe really is giving people illegal botox injections.
Bledsoe, who is not licensed, told our producer via text, "lets schedule. Anyone else you'll pay double for."
And when our producer went to Sandra's house, posing as a potential customer, here's what Sandra told her:
"I do everybody in town. I mean that's partly why the plastic surgeon's hate me. I do it for half the price."
We thought that was a pretty solid confession.
But two months later Sandra has not been arrested or even questioned by law enforcement.
We went to the Reno Police Department to find out why.
Reno Police Sergeant Alan Salter says there's no doubt what Sandra is doing is illegal. But, he says, you have to have proof beyond a reasonable doubt. He says anybody could come into the police station and say they committed a crime.
Salter says this is an active investigation and they are looking for more people who have received services from Sandra Bledsoe, who also goes by the name Sandra Rennert. That's how they hope to build their case.
"We've had two victims come forward and speak with us. We would of course like to have more people come forward and speak with us," Salter told News 4.
Salter says it is critical that people do come forward, because practicing medicine without a license is not only illegal, it is potentially dangerous as well.
"Things can go wrong. Infections can occur, injuries can occur," Salter said.
