There's a new development in a case we've been following about a parent who was arrested at a Washoe County School Board meeting last week.
The school district is refusing to release audio recordings of phone messages left by the parent, Larry Dailey.
The school district says Dailey had made repeated and siginificant threats toward school district employees. But so far they have not been able to produce evidence of those threats.
That's why we have asked to to listen to those recordings.
The school district's lawyer, Randy Drake, told us today those recordings have been turned over as evidence to the city of Reno for prosecution so Drake says its up to the City to release them.
We checked with the city attorney's office and they told us have not received any information about the case. So they say the evidence is still in the hands of the school district, and the city says it's the district's decision whether to release them.
Again, the school district claims Larry Dailey made repeated and significant threats. We are simply asking for proof to back up that claim.
