GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) — A brush fire burning in the hills above Glendale has charred about 10 acres but no structures are threatened and no evacuations are ordered.

The fire began shortly after noon on Sunday.

Large plumes of smoke are rising over the city's Brand Park.

Firefighters from several agencies are battling the blaze from the ground and the air.

Temperatures in the area are in the mid-80s with very little wind.
