LOS ANGELES (AP) — A structure fire is raging through a large single-story charter high school in the Los Angeles area, but no one is believed to have been inside.

A Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman says firefighters received the call at 2:21 p.m. Tuesday saying smoke and fire was showing through the roof of Animo High School in Inglewood.

No injuries have been reported/

A spokesman for Green Dot Public Schools says school is not in session and it's believed there were no students or employees on campus.

The spokesman says the building is being refurbished, so there could have been construction workers in the building but he does not believe there were.

A KCAL-TV news helicopter shows substantial destruction.
