LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles chapter of a nonprofit that uses cannabis oil to treat children's seizures says it will relocate after being ordered to shut down by the city attorney's office.

The San Gabriel Valley Tribune reports that Realm of Caring California received a letter last week threatening criminal charges if its resource center stays open. The notice came as part of Proposition D, which limits dispensaries to those approved in 2007.

Executive director Ray Mirzabegian says the center did not sell anything. It's where he grew plants and gave information to parents.

The nonprofit plans to reach out to cities east of LA to find a new home.

Realm of Caring sells a strain of oil primarily to families of children with seizures. It does not produce a high.
